Alderman Abel 1641

From the life of Alderman Abel, printed in London in 1641. He wears the standard clothes of a learned man of increasing years, gown and ruff, but notice the rolled up sleeves and lace edged kerchief and coif of his wife on the left. She also seems to be using her apron, doubled up as a carrying device.
