That’s the title of the book, and this is the picture on the front page. I’m not sure what the lion has to do with the King, but I liked the clothes on the officer.
Costume & Stuff from the English Civil War
Cecil was a veteran soldier by the time this portrait was painted. He’d served in the Low Countries with distinction and had led the ill fated Cadiz expedition in 1625. He died in 1638, not long after he was painted judging by the style of his clothes. He’s wearing a quality scarf, embroidered and edged with what looks like real silver lace.
