An Exact Diurnall of the Parliament of Ladyes

Scurrilous pamphlet first published anonymously by Henry Neville the politician and political writer in the spring of 1647 that made fun of the prominent women who were associated with the parliamentarian cause. The woodcut is a bit crude, but there are enough details to see that these are women of quality dressed in bodice and petticoats, uncovered hair and large linen bands or kerchiefs. Note every skirt is edged with at least two lines of braid or ribbon.
